Your archive: works, exhibitions, press and publications
The archive is the heart of Kreativ: how to add works with images, details and sale settings, and how exhibitions, press, publications and your CV fit in.
How the archive works
Your archive is a structured record of your practice, managed under Content in your dashboard. It holds four kinds of entries: works, exhibitions, press and publications, plus your CV as a PDF.
Pages on your site draw from the archive. Add a collection section to a page (a works grid, an exhibition list) and it fills itself with your visible entries, newest first by default. Update an entry once and it changes everywhere it appears.
Every entry has a visibility toggle labelled Visible on website. A draft stays private in your archive; a visible entry appears on your site. Your edits save automatically as you type, and the bar at the top of every editor tells you the current state: Changes save automatically, Saving, or Saved and live.

Adding a work, step by step
Go to Content, open Work and click Create Work. Then:
- 1
Add photos. Click the cover tile to select images; selecting multiple at once adds the extras as detail photos automatically. A work can hold up to 8 images. Uploads are optimised for the web for you, so you can safely upload full-resolution files.
- 2
Fill in the basic information: title, year, material (for example Acrylic on canvas) and dimensions (length, width, depth in cm or inches; for 2D work you can leave depth empty). An optional description gives context on the work's page.
- 3
Add tags if you want to group works, for example by series or medium. You create tags yourself, with a name and a colour, and filter your works list by them later.
- 4
Flip the toggle to Visible on website when the work is ready. It now has its own page on your site with a clean, shareable address.
A work needs a title, at least one image, a year and at least one dimension before it can go visible. If the toggle is greyed out, hover it to see what is still missing.
Sale details, private to you
Every work has a Sale details section that is marked Private: nothing in it is ever shown on your website. The Available for Sale toggle controls whether the work shows an enquire button on your site (see the enquiries guide).
When a work sells, turn Available for Sale off. The form then reveals private fields for your own records: the buyer (picked from your contacts, or created on the spot), the sale price and currency, the sale date and notes. Buyers you record this way automatically appear in the Buyers list in your audience.
Exhibitions, press and publications
The other three entry types follow the same pattern as works: a list with Visible and Drafts tabs, a Create button, autosave and a visibility toggle. Each editor shows a Required to go visible checklist so you always know what is still needed.
- Exhibitions: cover image, title, start date (end date optional) and the venue with address, city and country. Solo and group shows both belong here.
- Press: cover image, title and the outlet (for example Art Forum). Author, publication date and a link to the article are optional.
- Publications: cover image, title and author. Publisher, ISBN, page count, dimensions, publication date, an external link and a text section are optional. Catalogues, books and editions all fit.
Your CV
Your CV is a PDF you upload under Content. The file is available immediately: buttons and navigation items on your website can link to it, and visitors open it in a new tab. There is no visibility toggle; uploading it makes it live, and replacing the file updates every link at once.
In the editor you add a CV link through the pages sidebar (add a CV item to your navigation) or by pointing any button at the CV.
Removed your CV? Buttons that link to it stop working until you upload a new file, so replace rather than remove when you update it.
